The Hilux D-4D 3.0L Stage 2-Tow upgrade is purpose-built for vehicles regularly towing heavy loads. It includes the installation of a larger front-mount intercooler to improve cooling efficiency and reliability.
The process begins with a comprehensive diagnostic scan to confirm your Hilux is in top condition and ready for tuning. We then perform a dyno baseline run to measure current performance and gather essential data for our software engineers to create your custom tune.
Next, our trained technician installs an HPD front-mount intercooler kit. While the standard intercooler is positioned at the front of the vehicle, its smaller size and less durable rubber hoses are not ideal for sustained heavy towing or hard driving. Our heavy-duty, larger-capacity intercooler and silicone piping kit delivers superior cooling, controls heat under load, and provides far greater hose strength for long-term reliability.
Finally, we custom-tune your Hilux’s ECU on the dyno in real time, using the latest ECU tuning software to maximise power, torque, and fuel efficiency. The tune is then fine-tuned on-road to optimise drivability in real-world conditions.
You’ll receive a dyno graph showing before and after results, so you can see the gains for yourself.
